Newport Beach
We arrived Friday evening after first turning south to touch the border with Mexico.
Ventura
After our transit from Newport Beach we were rewarded with clearing skies and a great view of Anacapa Island.
Santa Barbara
It was a short transit to Santa Barbara setting us up for the following day's passage around Point Conception and onto Morro Bay. We did enjoy a brief escort from Pacific White-sided dolphins.
Between Santa Barbara and Morro Bay lies Point Conception. A notoriously rough stretch of water which upset more than a few items as evidenced by the tool box new location!
